WA iAWARDS FINALISTS

iAwards Judging

State iAwards finalists will present their pitch to the judges on Monday, 28 and Tuesday, 29 August. The judges will finalise the winners and merit recipients in each category, to be presented at the iAwards Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, 30 August.

PitchFest 2017

PitchFest 2017, where this year’s iAwards finalists have the unique opportunity to ‘pitch’ their innovation to an expert panel of leading ICT mentors and judges. PitchFest 2017 will be held at KPMG’s Docklands offices and will commence at 8.30am and conclude at 3.30pm. The day’s program will culminate with the presentation of the PitchFest Winner for each of the 5 PitchFest program sessions. Access to PitchFest 2017 in included in the Gala Dinner ticket.

iAwards Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony

For 23 years, the iAwards have been recognising and celebrating achievements of Australian students, businesses and individuals in conceptualising and developing innovations in technology.

The iAwards recognises and rewards those leading innovators who are making a difference by being part of the 2017 National iAwards program.

On Wednesday 30 August, the iAwards Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony will be held to recognise, celebrate and ‘shine a light’ on the incredible innovations that are being developed across Australia.

Charlie Gunningham will discuss what it took to bring Business News into the digital world.

Charlie is the former chief executive of Business News. Originally an Economics teacher from the UK, Charlie taught in Singapore prior to landing in Perth in 1997, whereupon he did an MBA at UWA Business School graduating as top student in 1999. Later that same year he set up aussiehome.com, an online real estate business which we sold to REIWA in 2010. He ran reiwa.com for 3 year before joining Business News as GM of Digital in 2013. Charlie is the co-founder of eGroup and a past 40under40 winner (2003)
